Bitcoin, Ether, and Tether are now accepted at the KIKLABB free trade zone in Mina Rashid, Dubai.
KIKLABB is now the first government-owned licensing entity in the Emirates to allow payment to be made in cryptocurrency. Everyone can now pay for their visa fees and trade licenses through BTC, ether, or Tether’s USDt.
Tasawar Ulhaq, CEO of KIKLABB stated: “KIKLABB is collaborating with international partners for payment processing of cryptocurrency transactions, guaranteeing all regulations are adhered to as a government-owned entity.”
“We’re the first government-owned licensing entity in the UAE to accept cryptocurrency payments – and certainly not the last. With the technology rapidly gaining traction across the Middle East, I’m eager to see how it changes the way we do business in the near future,” Tasawar Ulhaq also said.
Free zones are special economic zones that have the objective of offering tax concessions and customs duty benefits to foreign investors. More than 30 free zones are operating in Dubai.
